Burn Ban Lifted in Amador and El Dorado County

According to CDF notices received from the Amador Fire Safe Council, the burn ban has been lifted.

You must have a burn permit, and call the air pollution control district before you burn, though.

Prescribed burning begins 10/31/06 - Shake Ridge and Omo Fuel Breaks

This just in:

PRESCRIBED BURNING NOTICE

The California Department of Forestry and Fire (CDF) and Sierra Pacific Industries (SPI) announce the start of prescribed burning on 10/31/06. This prescribed burning will occur on both the Shake Ridge and Omo Fuel Breaks and will continue for several weeks. Smoke may be visible from various parts of the county.
